Pizza Peel
Ingredients
One 150-200 gram dough ball
Fine sea salt, to taste
Flour, for dusting (we recommend: Flour Semolina Extra Fine )
4 slices of prosciutto
4 slices of fior di latte (fresh mozzarella) (For top quality taste, we recommend Fior Di Latte)
1 ball of burrata cheese
Fresh basil leaves
Extra virgin olive oil
Condiment:
Sweet & hot honey (optional)
Method
Note:
For the dough, we recommend our Classic Pizza Dough, just be sure to set aside 3 to 4 hours for proofing before cooking.
- Preheat your oven until the stone reads 750 °F (400 °C). You can check this quickly, accurately and from a safe distance with an infrared thermometer.
- Stretch the dough into a 10-inch round or oval shape and place it on a floured pizza peel.
- Generously drizzle olive oil over the surface, then fold it in half to form a half-circle. Adding fior di latte on the bottom half
- Drizzle the top with more olive oil.
- Launch the pizza sandwich base into the oven and cook for 60 to 90 seconds, turning it every 20 seconds for an even bake.
- Begin assembling your sandwich by unfolding the cooled, cooked pizza crust. Generously spread pesto on the bottom half. Layer with, prosciutto, and burrata. Finish with a topping of fresh basil. Adding sweet & hot honey if you prefer. Enjoy!
